January- start with vision

Like many of you, I used to start with a list of New Year's resolutions only to find out that I started that "Monday diet" 30 times over with zero results, or ended my year with a list that remained unfinished.

I didn't see results until I changed my mindset to focus on an overall vision for the year which encompasses both a vision board and word for the year. This year I encourage you to brainstorm your vision and goals for the year.

Next, start writing some steps on how each goal will be achieved, then pick one or two to focus on. By tailoring this down to achievable steps, you can begin to actually see progress throughout the year.

My word for the year is "Organized." It seems unusual for a planner-focused person to choose, but Organized can also apply to my house, my planner contents themselves, an organized approach to a certain task, or even organizing my progress toward a dream.

Organized is my word for 2026- what's yours?

The Women of the Bible Speak- Shannon Bream

The Women of the Bible Speak by Shannon Bream is a meaningful and uplifting read that brings the stories of Biblical women to life in a relatable way. Bream doesn’t just retell their stories- she connects their struggles, courage, faith, and resilience to challenges women still face today. From Ruth’s loyalty to Esther’s bravery and Mary’s trust in God, each chapter feels like a reminder that God works through ordinary people in extraordinary ways. It’s the kind of book that leaves you encouraged, reflective, and reminded that faith and strength often grow through life’s hardest moments.
